It is the rate of change of angular velocity.

It is represented by $\frac{d}{dt} \omega$ or , $\frac{d^2}{dt^2} \theta$

and $\theta$ is the angle of rotation measured

from some initial direction. It is positive in anti-clock-wise direction.
