Axes of Hyperbola

Axes of Hyperbola:

In a Hyperbola with the formula:

\dfrac{x^2}{a^2} - \dfrac{y^2}{b^2} = 1 (a>b)

The diameter of length (2a) which on being extended passes through

foci is called the transverse axis and the line segment of length (2b)

passing through the centre and perpendicular to the transverse axis

is called conjugate axis.
