Longitude:

Longitude is a semi-circle drawn on the

surface of earth joining the north and south

poles.Longitude lines are parts of great circles

i.e. the circles having the same radius at that of

the earth .It is measured in degree east or west

of Greenwhich , a fixed longitude line passing

through Greenwhich ( London ).
